FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where am I going?
All of our events are based at Victory Hall, Slitting Mill, WS15 2UW. The hall is about 200m down the hill from The Horns Inn, on the same side of the road.
Where do I park?
There is ample free parking in the hall's car park.
When do I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before we are due to start so we can all be ready to start on time. If you are running late, and we all do from time to time, send us a text if possible so we know when you are due to arrive and don't leave the hall & lock up!
Do I need my own mat?
Yes, please bring a yoga mat with you if you are coming to a yoga day. If you are coming to a Mindful Morning or Afternoon, a mat provides a bit of comfort and also insulation, so if you don't have one, bring something warm to sit on. We will provide mats to put under yours if we are using mats outside.
What else should I bring?
Bring a water bottle and your own mug/cup for hot drinks if you like. Bring a blanket or extra layer for relaxation. Dress appropriately with warm layers & a waterproof jacket if it's cold or wet, or sunscreen & flip flops for paddling if it's hot. Make sure you've got sturdy shoes for walking on gravelly paths and muddy banks.
You can leave most of your things at the hall throughout the day as we will lock it when we go out. Any valuables brought with you are entirely at your own risk and Forestry Wellbeing will not be liable for any losses.
Will we be outside?
Yes! We intend to be outdoors as much as possible, so be prepared for that. Some of our practice may be indoors and if it's really hot or cold or wet, we'll use the hall. We reserve the right to modify our practice dependant on the weather.
How long will the walk be?
On yoga days we will do a walk of about 2 miles. On Mindful Days we will probably be moving more slowly, so will cover less ground but still might be outside for up to an hour. All walks are likely to involve uneven ground, steep hills, gravel paths and no doubt some mud, so please be prepared for this with sensible shoes and strong legs!
Is there a minimum age?
On all of our events, the minimum age is 16 years.
Do I need to bring food?
Yes, please bring your own lunch. We have found this the best way to keep everyone happy, safe and also keep the costs of our days as affordable as possible. We will supply biscuits, teas & coffees. Please feel free to bring anything else you want to.
