Where am I going?
The weekend will be held at The Cattle Shed, Grindleford, Hope Valley, Derbyshire, S32 2HW.

 What do I need to bring? 
Comfortable clothes and layers for your yoga practice. All indoor yoga sessions will be barefoot, so you might want to bring some shoes which are easy to slip on and leave just outside the yoga room.  
Bring your yoga mat, two cushions (for yin / restorative yoga), a blanket (for relaxation sessions), water bottle and travel mug (optional) for your drinks. Towels are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. There’s a hairdryer in each room.
We suggest you bring suitable outdoor clothing such as waterproofs and walking boots – we’re heading into the hills after all, and the weather can be very changeable. We don’t recommend you wear wellies to walk in as they don’t offer much support for ankles and can sometimes be a bit slippery.
 
What time do I need to be there?
You can check in with us from 4pm.  Feel free to drive up to the Peak District earlier in the day and explore the nearby villages & walks; it's nice to know you've loads of time before check-in and don't have to worry about getting lost or any slow farm traffic.

When you arrive, park on the front driveway, leaving enough room for other cars and we’ll be ready to greet you with a hot drink and a smile.
We'll gather together for a short meditation session at 6pm, setting our intentions for the weekend.  Dinner will be at around 6.45 with a relaxing yoga session planned for around 8.15pm.  If you think you’ll arrive later than 6.00, please call one of us to let us know, so we can plate up some dinner for you.  Claire: 07775 644866,  Emma: 07846 807 980.
We suggest you use WHATSAPP to call or message as the phone signal in the valley is not 100% reliable.
 
What time will I be leaving on the Sunday?
We’ll be having our farewell lunch around 1pm after which you’re free to head home. If you are not staying Sunday night you need to leave the property by 4pm.

Can I stay one more night?
Yes! If you want to make this a longer break and give all this lovely stuff time to settle in to your bones, then for a small additional charge you can stay Sunday night too. Please note this would be in the room you have had all weekend and would be on a B&B basis. One or both of us will be stay too and we can help you make arrangements for your own evening meal in a nearby restaurant or pub. Checkout on Monday would be at 10am.
 
What if I don’t want to share a room? 
Be quick! We have very limited availability on single rooms and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
 
Can I bring alcohol?
The retreat venue isn’t licenced to sell alcohol, but yes, you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol to enjoy with your evening meals if you wish.
 
Will we be outside?
It will all be dependent on weather.  The early morning yoga sessions could be inside, but other activities and sessions may be outside.  We intend to be outside as much as possible so be prepared for that.
 
How long will the walks be? 
The Saturday walk will be approximately 5 miles, and the Sunday walk shorter at about an hour (2 miles ish) but we’ll do our best to cater to the abilities of the group so everyone will feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us. The walk is likely to involve uneven ground, steep hills, gravel paths, and no doubt some mud, so please be prepared with sensible shoes.  Remember, it’s a re’treat’ weekend, so they’ll be no marching up hills if you don’t want to.
 
Do I have to join in all the sessions?
Absolutely not.  You’re very welcome to join us for whatever sessions you like or spend your time as you wish. We just ask that you let us know if there’s any sessions you won’t be joining us for so we’re not waiting for you.
 
Is there a minimum age? 
The minimum age of all guests on our events is 16.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a fully paying and participating adult at all times.
 
What food is available?
We will be providing a selection of hot and cold cereals, yoghurts, toast, and fruit for breakfasts, soups and vegetarian buffet for all other meal-times, and on Saturday evening we'll be serving up a vegetarian Indian feast. Oh... and there'll be yummy cake!
We will do our best to cater for any special medical dietary requirements (such as gluten free, vegan etc) if advance notice is given on your booking form. 

What are the meal times?
Breakfast: 8am-9am
Lunch: 1.15pm-1.45pm
Dinner: 6.45pm-7.15pm
 
How do I pay?
You will be sent bank details upon completing your booking form. A non-refundable deposit of £95 is required to secure your place. We then suggest you set up a Direct Debit with your bank to make paying the balance more manageable (eg. If you’re sharing, and you're claiming your early bird discount £450 - £95 deposit = £355 balance.  Full payment due by 31st May 2022.  4 x DD payments of £88.75 per month, 28th Feb, 28th Mar, 28th April, 28th May)
Alternatively, you can pay your initial deposit, followed two equal payments.  Eg. a payment of £177.50 in March and £177.50 in May (example based on shared room early bird pricing).
 
Do I need any yoga / meditation experience?
No.  We ask that you are in good health and have the permission of your GP to partake in physical activity if you have any of the medical conditions listed on your medical form, and that you feel comfortable walking 5 miles on uneven ground.  We ask that you bring an open mind and a friendly smile.
