Where am I going?
The weekend will be held at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge, Nant Ffrancon, Bethesda, Bangor, LL57 3LX. You can find it on google maps here:
What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes and layers for your yoga practice. All indoor yoga sessions will be barefoot, so you might want to bring some shoes which are easy to slip on and leave just outside the yoga room.
Bring your yoga mat, two cushions (for yin / restorative yoga), a blanket (for relaxation sessions), water bottle and travel mug (optional) for your drinks. Towels are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. There’s a hairdryer in each room.
We suggest you bring suitable outdoor clothing such as waterproofs and walking boots – we’re heading into the welsh hills after all, and the weather can be very changeable. We don’t recommend you wear wellies to walk in as they don’t offer much support for ankles and can sometimes be a bit slippery.
What time do I need to be there?
You can check in with us from 4pm. When you arrive at the centre, park anywhere in the car park then follow the signs to the Eurowalk Hall where we’ll be ready to greet you with a hot drink and a smile.
Dinner will be at 6.30 with a relaxing yoga session planned for around 8pm. If you think you’ll arrive later than 6.30, please call one of us to let us know, so we can plate up some dinner for you. Claire: 07775 644866, Emma: 07
We suggest you use WHATSAPP to call or message as the phone signal in the valley is not 100% reliable.
What time will I be leaving on the Sunday?
We’ll be having our farewell lunch in the café at 1.15, after which you’re free to head home.
What if I don’t want to share a room?
Be quick! We have very limited availability on single rooms and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
There are 3 of us coming, are there any triple rooms available?
Yes, there’s one triple room, so please request this on your booking form. The triple room rate is the same as the shared twin / double rate per person.
Can I bring alcohol?
The café isn’t licenced, but yes, you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol to enjoy with your evening meals if you wish.
Will we be outside?
The early morning yoga sessions will be inside, but other activities and sessions may be outside. It all depends on the weather, but we intend to be outside as much as possible so be prepared for that.
How long will the walks be?
The walks will be approximately 2 miles, but we’ll cater to the abilities of the group so everyone will feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us. All walks are likely to involve uneven ground, steep hills, gravel paths, and no doubt some mud, so please be prepared with sensible shoes. Remember, it’s a re’treat’ weekend, so they’ll be no marching up hills if you don’t want to.
Do I have to join in all the sessions?
Absolutely not. You’re very welcome to join us for whatever sessions you like or spend your time as you wish. The lodge has some therapists we can put you in touch with if you fancy booking yourself in for a massage. We just ask that you let us know if there’s any sessions you won’t be joining us for so we’re not waiting for you.
Is there a minimum age?
The minimum age of all guests on our events is 16. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a fully paying and participating adult at all times.
What food is available?
The café serves a hot vegetarian buffet for all meal-times, and there’s plenty of choice. Special dietary requirements can be catered for (such as gluten free, vegan etc) if advance notice is given on your booking form.
What are the meal times?
Lunch: 1.15pm-1.45pm - hot buffet
Dinner: 6.45pm-7.15pm - hot buffet
How do I pay?
You will be sent bank details upon completing your booking form. A non-refundable deposit of £95 is required to secure your place. We then suggest you set up a Direct Debit with your bank to make paying the balance more manageable (eg. If you’re sharing, £345 - £95 deposit = £250 balance. 5 x DD payments of £50 per month)
Alternatively, you can pay your initial deposit, followed two equal payments. Eg. a payment of £125 in May and £125 in July (based on shared room pricing).
How do I book a massage?
Once we have received your payment in full, we can then take bookings for any additional therapies you may wish to try. For more details, please call Claire 07775 644866. The therapists are independent from Forestry Wellbeing and we take no responsibility for them. We will simply put you in touch with them and payment for any treatments will be directly to your therapist.
Do I need any yoga / meditation experience?
No. We ask that you are in good health and have the permission of your GP to partake in physical activity if you have any of the medical conditions listed on your medical form, and that you feel comfortable walking 2 miles on uneven ground. We ask that you bring an open mind and a friendly smile.
We can’t wait to share this magical weekend with you!
